  • Director of Practices made Perfect Ltd.

Sarah BurnardSarah Burnard has nearly 30 years experience in the Health Service, first as a State Registered Physiotherapist, then as a teacher, and latterly as a Community Services General Manager. She is currently a Senior Specialist and one of the founding Directors of Practices made Perfect Ltd.

Sarah is a specialist in developing community services and has set up national multidisciplinary training courses for community clinical staff to support the development of community care. She has also developed value for money frameworks to help commissioners make informed buying decisions. Sarah has worked on many multi-agency community service projects, including those related to intermediate care, and continuing care, and she has also led several major reviews of quality and value for money in these services for Commissioners.

In the last 5 years Sarah has set up a number of highly successful nurse and care assistants development programmes and has led several reviews of specialist services. These have resulted in the development of new staffing profiles and training and development programmes to support real and enduring changes in care delivery in both hospitals and in the community.

She has set up local consortia of nurses, managers and other professional staff, and has trained them to analyse their own workforce plans and data; developed their skills and knowledge in how to assess their requirements from the education providers; and has designed and developed one of the first nationally accredited multi-disciplinary education and training programmes for the Allied Health Professionals.

Sarah has completed Masters degrees in Rehabilitation Studies at Southampton University and in Business Administration at the London Business School, where she specialised in economics, public policy and corporate social responsibility.
